Preble County offers many local festivals such as the Preble County Pork Festival, Lewisburg Derby Days, Camden Black Walnut Festival, New Paris Apple Fest and the Fairhaven Antique Show.

The pride in local history is reflected at the Preble County Historical Society, the remaining seven covered bridges and even in the Christmas song "Up on the House Top" that was written in New Paris by Rev. Benjamin Hanby back in 1864.

Watercolor Painting Class: from Greeting Cards to Larger Masterpieces

Ages: 12 and older - Cost: $55/student

Class times & dates: Four Wednesdays, 1:30 to 4:30 pm — April 4, 11, 18, 25

Some supplies are provided, but only 5Χ7 "Strathmore Watercolor Greeting Cards & Envelopes". Some supplies for beginners will be supplied if they don't have these supplies (like brushes & paint). Please bring your brushes, paints and equipment.

Both new and experienced artists are invited to enroll in this four session watercolor painting class with Charlie Adams,, from Richmond, IN. Participants will learn some important fundamentals of painting, simple secrets of composition, and fundamentals of design, while creating beautiful watercolor paintings. Subject will be limited to landscape. Paintings will vary in size from 5Χ7 for "greeting cards" size, to larger format. Students can choose whatever size they want to work on. April 5th – Jewelry Making with Shealyn Smith Open Beading Focus on Wire Work - Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings – Participants will make their own peg board, and learn wire wrapping and shaping to create their own jewelry.
