Santa Claus:  Every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday – December 1-23, plus the entire week leading up to Christmas Eve.                         6:00 – 10:00 pm

There are 3 parking areas near both Cabins so that spectators may walk around to see some of the displays up close, visit the 2 Cabins and the Little Christmas Village.  On some nights without Santa, there is entertainment in the Cabin.  Always the first Monday of the month, a Barbershop Quartet (group) entertains us with marvelous Christmas music.  This year, a local Robotics Team has some displays/lights animated to music.

Cost:  No admission fee; however, donations are graciously accepted to help keep the lights on, purchase new displays and lighting supplies, and help to maintain the Park grounds for future generations.  The entire set up and take down labor is provided by100% VOLUNTEERS!  This amazing annual holiday tradition is brought to you strictly through donations.  Please donate so that we can keep the lights on!

History:

It all started with a few Christmas-loving people and 800 lights back in 1987.  Today, there are nearly 2 million lights burning bright for your holiday enjoyment!  Drive the winding, paved road through the Park to enjoy the spectacular Christmas lights display.  Each year something new is added to this fabulous event.  This year, we are proud to say that almost all of our displays have been switched to LED bulbs—to save energy and provide a brighter presentation.  Fort St. Clair Park is an impressive landmark of approximately 77 acres with picnic areas, large grassy fields and woods.  The Park is open to the public April through October with access to the playground and the Cabins are available to rent for special occasions.  Walkers may enjoy the Park year-round.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We are always looking for more volunteers to help with our magnificent event.   Please contact the Whispering Christmas Committee with any questions you may have.  Our email address is 1whisperingchristmas@gmail.com or you may leave a message at 937/456-4125.  The refreshment serving group calendar is usually filled 1 year in advance and is set by first response, first reserved. Our 2016 calendar has been started.   The set up and take down dates, plus some other information, are posted in an auto-reply message when you send an email to us.
